All of the above. Oh, and I want to win. :bigsmile:0

So I can out run and beat up zombies.0
-
I do it to feel better, look better, and because I loooooooove to eat.0
-
Because the childcare at the gym is the closest thing I have to a babysitter for my two toddlers...and while I am there I might as well work out!0
-
I exercise because it regulates my mood and makes me happy. It truly can turn my day around. Also, of course, it makes my body look good and improves my overall health0
-
I definitely workout because I love it, but looking good is also a nice side benefit.0
-
So I can eat more and drink booze :drinker:
Oh, and so I can be healthy and *kitten*.0 -
Because you love it? Yep.
Because you want a smaller butt? No. I'm aiming for a Kim Kardashian butt. I've been told I'm forming a runners butt. It all comes down to genetics though, right?!
Because you want to fit into that bikini? Sure do.
Why? I like the way it makes me feel, and definitely like what it does for my body. Oh, and I enjoy beating my body up. I have some sick fascination with wanting it all.0 -
It makes me feel good mentally and physically. I like being outdoors and being active kinda goes with that. I really want to be more fit and healthy. I'd like to wear bikinis without being *that* girl, who wears them even though she's chunky ('cuz I do!), and because eventually I'll work out just to drink a lot of beer, and that will feel awesome.0

I exercise to be better... Appearance is a pleasant side effect.0

I like to hurt people. It's way easier if I'm stronger than they are.0

wine......mmmmmm
I want to kill it in my 5K race in october0 -
I'm aiming to do a triathalon. i can't just work out for the sake of working out. besides, if i can swim, bike, and run well, i will be more then prepared for the zombie apocolypse.0

Because I truly love it. GREAT stress reliever.
I'm much more stressed on the weeks I can't go to the gym.
I'm proud of the figure my hard work has gotten me(as opposed to 15 years ago when it was just the luck of genetics)
More importantly I am a big huge pig and love food more than some love their children, family or pets.0 -
I exercise to better myself and to not have to say a word when my daughter brings home her first boyfriend. I'll just stand up out of my chair and that will be enough for him to get the message.0

Because what good does improving the outside if I neglect my ticker?!?! I love getting my heart rate up for the sheer muscle workout it gives my heart!0

I hit the gym 5-6 times/week. 2-3 days cadio, 1-2 days strength. I lost only 20lbs, but I feel WAAAAY better, I can keep going harder, think clearer, less in the dumps, more energy + confidence. I am beyond vanity. :flowerforyou:0

I come from a family that doesn't really exercise and you're either likely to be small or big by genetics if you do nothing. I definitely did not inherit the 'I'm going to be small my whole life' genetics, so I have to work. I mostly work out because I am terrified of what having kids will do to my body and metabolism, and I am hoping that if I am in as good of shape as possible before that happens then I will be more likely to bounce back.
Of course, I also want to be able to ROCK a bikini and just be fit in general. Just trying to work against bad genetics over here.0 -

HAHAHA, simply. amazing.
A smaller butt or a toned body is really just a perk for me. I do it for the endorphins, the mood lift, it's a challenge I can face and conquer. I notice a real plummet in my mood and outlook on life if I miss my workouts. And I feel a "balance" when I'm eating well and working out regularly, I don't get down on myself but have more respect for who I am as a person.
And I like to show off for my husband. I can kick his *kitten* and we both know it. It's incentive for him and a high for me. (Personality thing).
And there are all the pros of dense muscle mass, protecting your joints, ligaments, strengthening your heart, etc etc. All the "right answers", they keep me going too.
Stress relief too.
And I love to eat.
Wow, there are a hundred and one reasons to exercise!!!! I also have 2 young boys at home and I want to keep up with them. It's one of my dreams to help them realize the importance of fitness and I want to run alongside them, take them mountainbiking and skiing and cheer them on in sports.
Besides, if you're not fit, you SUCK at hackeysack, and that's not cool.0 -
All of the above as well for me too. I enjoy it and its a great stress relief!0

The most important reason I exercise regularly is for the mental and emotional benefits. It makes a huge difference in how I feel. But I also do cardio to burn lots of calories and lose fat. I do strength training/weight lifting because I enjoy it and really want to be stronger and feel more capable. And dancing is just for the sheer joy of it.0
