I usually eat very well and stick to my diet..... I almost never touch "bad" things...... (well have not for a while)....

However, whenever I do...I get OUT OF CONTROL!!!! I feel so down and I eat most "bad" things in sight...because of how crap I feel!! I get into this...oh well I blew it anyway kind of zone, and I think its horrible....

anyone else get what I mean?? anyone with similar experiences??

what do YOU do if you blow your 'healthy diet" once in a while...?

Personally the best way to avoid getting out of control with "bad" foods is to incorporate them into your daily diet. maybe treat yourself to some choc everyday or ice cream, just small portions to avoid binging on it at a later date
  • I can totally relate! Last night around 10 I got a snack attack- but I convinced myself that since they were all relatively "Healhty" foods it was ok. I had a thing of 120 calorie yogurt, 2 packs of 100 calorie cookies, 3 Quaker rice cakes, and 2 cups of rice milk- that was like 700 calories that i really didn't need!

I guess my best advice would be to forgive yourself and recommit tomorrow- there will be a day like this here and there, but the important thing is to stop, evaluate how the day went, and make a change.

Just count the calories. Sometimes you are just going to have a day when you eat worse foods, but if you keep your calories below maintenance, you will still lose weight and one day of "bad" food isn't going to affect your health. Foods aren't "bad" they are just more healthful or less healthful.

Part of the reason I don't condone dieting is for reasons like this. I make "bad" things part of my diet and account for the calories. If done right, you won't gain. Also, cravings aren't an issue and I'm not doing "mental jumping jacks" each day worrying about each and every type of calorie. That's not a happy life.
  • haha....so I went to mall to 'just' get frozen yogurt.......and .......I ate:
    1) 1 medium cup Frozen yogurt (200 cals approx)
    2) 450 ml Bubble tea (300 cals approx)
    3) half Kaya toast (200 cals approx)
    4) 1 Pancake with chocolate (200 approx)

= 900 calorie SNACKING!!! WTF right!!!!!!!! LOL..... I just skipped dinner and will start fresh tomorrow!!! Good thing I burnt 1000+ calories on my work out today.....I think my daily calories are FINE.... but with me plateauing so badly I cannot really afford bad eating days like this!! At this rate I will never reach 120!!!! :(

I can't really answer because what I eat I enjoy and I don't have a desire for "bad" snacks.

The worst I've had in 7 months is ; fried flounder/shrimp for dinner once, a total of 10 chips ahoy cookies over about 5 days, 1 dinner entree at a mexican restaurant.

I really have no desire for anything else, what I'm doing is satisfying everything.
