I opened my diary

I opened up my diary. So I can get some feedback on what I’m doing wrong. I haven’t been able to lose weight in about a week.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks so much!!

Btw...I’m like 5’2”...196 lbs and 56 yrs old

I wouldn't worry until it's been at least 3 weeks

I wouldn't make any changes after just a week.

Are you using a food scale? It doesn't look like it, since so many of your measurements are in cups.

Are the entries labeled "homemade" recipe entries that you entered into MFP, or are they just random entries other users created that you found in the database. If the latter, don't use them; create your own. You have no idea what ingredients or proportions someone else used and whether that mirrors your recipe, or even if they accurately entered what went into their recipe.

Although I would normally agree with posters above that you shouldn't worry after just a week with no loss, your diary is showing very low daily totals for you not to be losing any weight, which to me suggests that your logging probably is not accurate. That's not a criticism or an accusation; lots of people -- probably most people -- are not accurate with their logging. Using a food scale and ensuring that you are using appropriate database entries should improve things.

So am I supposed to be logging every ingredient? Like for the chicken Marsala or the chicken francaise?
Yes the brown rice I do measure in cups...and things like pineapple chunks are measured in cups... other than that like 1 mandarin orange or 1 medium banana. But I’ve been very true to everything I’m logging and I do use a kitchen scale!!
    Thanks for all your help!!

Oh yes and I’m comparing to Nooms database to be certain I’m accurate

You log the individual ingredients when you create the recipe.

How long have you been logging your food? How long have you been eating at this calorie level? Have you started a new exercise routine lately? If you are a premenopausal woman, hormones at certain times of the month can increase water retention and mask fat loss.

I’ve been logging since December 14th..so I guess the 3.5 lb weight loss in 3.5 weeks is exactly on target i guess. I was just expecting to lose more since I was eating a lot less!! And that menopause ship has sailed as I’m 56 yrs old!
    Thanks for all your help!!
