I make a lot of crockpot recipes from this site... they are all good :)
  • I make pulled pork in the slow cooker, which I use as an ingredient: Add some BBQ sauce for pulled pork sandwiches, add mojo and hot peppers for a Cuban twist, spice and sizzle in a pan quickly for carnitas.... yeah. Lots of stuff. And it freezes well.

I put a Boston Butt roast in a crockpot with a whole chunked onion and a bottle of either dark beer or hard cider. Stew on low overnight and into the next day, or until pork pulls. Drain, cool slightly, pull pork, and freeze in bags for later use.

(Ham) and Bean Soup: I don't eat pork, so for me, this usually turkey ham or turkey/beef polska...

32 ounces dried great northern beans
1 pound ham/turkey ham or 12-15 ounces of turkey/beef polska (I like Hillshire Farms) chopped into small chunks or thin half moons
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2-4 minced cloves of garlic
1 small can roasted diced green chiles
14.5 ounce can no salt corn
    pepper to taste
6 cups water or broth (I've done chicken & vegetable) or a mix

Soak the beans. put everything in the pot--I put the beans and water in last--and slow cook on low for 8-10 hours. toward the end, I pull out a couple of cups of cooked beans & liquid and puree them, stir the puree in and it makes it creamy and stew-ish rather than soupy. this is ~10 servings.

doesn't sound that great, but has a lovely flavor.
