Really struggling to get back on it after Christmas :(

Just that really. I want to eat ALL the things! I just hit maintenance before Christmas after losing 14 lbs. I ate without restriction for a week over Christmas/New Year and now I'm struggling to get back into the groove. Worried I'll undo all my hard work for the last 6 months. Help!!

It may be a combination of letting yourself eat more and maintaining. I know when I first upped calories all the sudden I was starving! It lasted a couple months of riding it out but it hasn't been easy. I was getting real discouraged as I thought I'd be able to up calories more, was still not eating many exercise calories, and my weight was going up every week. It bugged me enough that I took a break from weighing.

As you already know motivation comes and goes, it's staying with it through the hard times. Things that've helped me is not having trigger foods in the house, having a planned meal, making new recipes, and trying new foods. I recently started switching up my workouts and it's helping with wanting to exercise. I've also been adding in different playlists. I just saw a bullet journal for the first time and copied the idea for a weekly exercise journal with boxes to check off when meeting daily goals. The example I saw had rewards for boxes checked. So far this week I checked everything, two boxes to go. I want a Fitbit and an air fryer but those are bigger rewards, not sure how I'll do it yet so I'll check out more bullet journals on Pinterest. Good luck!

No.. you don't want to undo all that hard work. Fixate on that and do just what you know how to do. You don't need to "want" to do it.. just do it..if you don't you get to spend another six entire months..which will lead right back to next Christmas and you'll find yourself in the same place.

    break the cycle.

Thank you for the advice and the pep talk! Another day over maintenance today. I just need to get my head back in the game.
