Pain in lower right belly when stretching

So this has happened a couple times to me now. Sometimes I do a big body stretch where I straitened my legs out and put my arms over my head and then a really tight pain occurs in my lower right stomach. The beet way I can describe it is it’s almost a feeling of getting your blood pressure taken it gets super tight and then slowly pulses as the air lets out... I don’t understand why this happens it lasts like 5 or so mins until the tightness let’s go. I was thinking it just a long term side effect from having a c section 2 yrs ago...... has anyone else had this pronlem before??

If it only happens when you do that particular stretch, then it sounds like you're stretching too far for your body's current limits. Those limits could be from all sorts of things, possibly including scar tissue from your c-section, though no one here can tell you that for sure. I would recommend doing a different stretch or not stretching as deeply. You might also like a yoga class with a qualified teacher who can help you modify stretches for your body.

If it happens at other times or the pain doesn't go away, I would get it checked out.

I was going to say possible scar tissue as well... but if it continues definitely get it checked out. I had a sharp pain when stretching or twisting on the right side that ended up being a dermoid deeply imbedded in my (now removed) ovary... there is so much going on with reproductive and digestive parts in such a small area that it’s hard to say what it could or could not be.

Ovulation pain was my first thought after reading the title (after reading the OP I'm thinking the C-section though.)

@tifsimmons91 does this happen all the time or just a few days per month?

This has only been happening the past few months off and on but only when I stretch out my body... I may just be pulling a muscle in my stomach over stretching I’m not sure

There are ligaments and things running through there as well so it could be something tight from pregnancy/csection...

I have endometriosis, and when I stretch a certain way or move a certain way, the scar tissue pulls and I get that painful twinge. Loads of fun. I’d mention it to your physician.
