I Refuse...

I have decided that from this day forward I will no longer choose to eat diet foods or drink diet beverages simply because they are diet. I will choose to eat normal healthy foods every day and take responsbility for those calories and choices.

I choose to make better choices for myself from this day forward. Anyone else with me?

Absolutely. I'm too old to go on yet another diet!
I'm going to lose the weight by watching what I eat - not change what I eat to lose the weight. That way when I'm where I want to be I don't risk gaining it all back because I go back to eating "Normally" again.

Totally with you!!! Good for you making a good choice, it's better for you too, diet foods aren't good for you at all!
  • GOOD for you!!!!!!! I had to make that decision about a year ago.....All I saw when eating diet foods and drinks are chemicals and more chemicals!!!!! Now I'm leaning more toward raw foods!! Yippee for fruits and veggies!!!!
  • Good job. I don't eat many diet foods but I do diet soda. I like it. I am going to be working on getting off soda all together.

I've been eating healthy for years, but I believe that sometimes choosing a diet drink or food is the healthier choice. I don't buy diet foods for home (unless you count reduced fat dairy), but when out at a function or gathering I might choose diet if it seems the lesser of two evils.

    Good for you!

I won't eat most 'diet' foods either. One of the worst, imo, is fat free cheese. It's not even cheese! It's a colored rubbery substance.

In almost all cases, I would rather have the real thing and take the calorie hit, than eat the diet substitutes. Just not worth it.
