I joined MFP 11 days ago. I'm down 8 lbs. But I am really kinda clueless if Im eating the right things or exercising the way I should be. Does anyone want to take a look at my (public) diary and tell me if they notice anything right/wrong? I'll take the good with the bad!

Please eat more. Even if it's just 1200 calories. Try brown rice instead of white rice. Maybe a heartier breakfast as well. I usually have oatmeal with peanut butter and/or a banana, but I've been juicing a lot, and that's been going really well.
But seriously. Eat more. It looks like you're eating the right foods but that you're not eating enough of it.0 -
You definitely need to eat more.0

I only looked at a few days, the choices you are making are good, but you are not coming close to eating enough. You must try to come as close to your goal as possible. Because you are consistenly under 1200 calories, your body is going to go into starvation mode. Even when you exercise, you should be eating some or almost all of those calories back so you net around 1200. Once you do that you should avoid any plateaus, etc.0

your not eatting enough your on average 600-700 cals from your goal mfp already gives you a deficit in order to loose weight no need to make it bigger
don`t skip meals I saw a few days of no breakfast0 -
I agree, eat more. You're going way under your target most days. You should try to be within about 100 calories of your goal.0

Please do yourself and your body a favor and stop starving yourself. I don't know your current weight and/or goals but at a minimum, eat 1200 calories. Likely, you need more than that.0

Are you sure you have your measurments right when you log? I noticed 0.25 of a pop-tart on Sunday 28th August for example..did you really eat a quarter of a pop-tart?
I only ask because I have done it lots of times!0 -

I agree with this you have to eat to lose weight and if you don't eat enough your body thinks its starving.. So get some good hearty breakfast's in there girl you can do this. Congrats on the loss so far.0 -
I guess I haven't been eating more just because..I'm not hungry? I know that doesnt meant I shouldnt eat but I dont FEEL like I'm starving. Breakfast is hard for me, I will literally get sick if I eat too early in the day..but maybe I can do a smoothie or a protein shake type thing?
And yes! I stole a piece of my husbands Pop Tart! haha0 -
My opinion.
More macronutrients -- increase your calories.
Cut out sugar and processed food as much as possible.
Lots and lots of veggies.
Good sources of protein -- especially in the morning.
No sugar at all in the morning.
Drink lots of water0 -
you must eat breakfast and you need to eliminate the sugar... other than the other advice to eat more...0

Your choices of food are excellent.....Good Job. Eat more. Eat every 3 hours. Keep the fire burning. Starving yourself in no way to loose weight. It took time to gain weight, and it will take time to loose weight. Your organs need their nutrition. Quickly your body will say hey....I'm not getting enough nutrition and put you into starvation mode trying not to let you melt away and die. Homeostasis.0

You need more calories. Minimum 1200 a day. Additionally, you should eat a large breakfast, a smaller lunch, and an even smaller dinner. Well, that's what I understand anyway. I think you make a lot of good decisions on some of your meals, just stick to fruits and veggies and lean meats. Lots of water. Keep at it!0

I feel like my sugar is mostly coming from fruit0

Hey There! Welcome to MFP and great job logging in!
You need to stop skipping breakfast for sure - they call it breakfast because it is meant to do just that Break the Fast that your body has been on at night. I would suggest eating 3 small meals and 3 small snacks so that your not feeling like your cramming food in your face just to get calories.
That being said....you MUST eat more food, you will not be able to sustain your weight loss at this low level. Accordign to my nutritionist you should not be eating less than 1200 calories and if you are eating less your body is going to store what little you take in as fat!
I had a hard time with this when I first started but once I got the hang of it, it all started to fall into place!0 -

Same here. I try to stick to berries -- generally not as much sugar as other fruits like bananas, apples or oranges.
That works for me -- you might require a different approach.0 -

I am just like you, I have to be up at least an hour before I can even consider eating! I have started to take food to work and will eat at my desk. My fave is an egg white omellette in the microwave (sounds gross but its AMAZING!) PM me if you want the recipe and its a great way to get protein and keep me full for the morning.0 -
I agree with everyone else...you need to eat more0
