SALSA!! Once you've tried it, you'll love it! Got the idea from trolling some guy’s diary on MFP and he ate spinach, salsa and chicken breast like 3x a day!
I bought the Jakes Garden Salsa from Costco to avoid sodium (it’s natural, has like a 2 week exp date unlike Tostitos 2+ years, LOL!) and b/c it's super delicious and love it!0 -
Walden Farms http://www.waldenfarms.com/products/dressings.html I can't eat salad without dressing and this is calorie free and tastes awesome. My husband is super picky and can't tolerate anything "reduced" or "free" when it comes to flavor. Even he liked the bleu cheese dressing.

If you eat out a lot like I do, some restaurants don't have fat free dressing. I know, ridiculous, but true. Don't pour the dressing on your salad. Instead dip your fork into the dressing, then add salad. You'll use a lot less dressing this way and save tons of calories.0

My whole family loves Maple Grove Farms Fat Free Honey Dijon dressing. It is only 35 calories for TWO tablespoons. For me, that's enough for a very big salad. I buy three or four bottles at a time when I am at the grocery store.0

I always use either rice vinegar or i found this pomegranate balsamic vinegar that's really good.0

Check out the salad dressing recipes in the paperback version of the South Beach Diet Supercharged. Lots of variety. Even blue cheese made with ff buttermilk and yogurt. Yum.0

I bought some from Whole Foods which is balsamic vinagrette, pomegranate juice, salt/pepper and maybe some other spices. 30cal for 2 Tbsp. The juice replaces the oil and it tastes just as good.0

vinegar and a good olive oil.... for taco salad use salsa.. if you want a creamy dressing mix some lowfat or fat free sour cream and salsa...0

Love it with pimenton, as suggested, and good with Penzey's Creamy Peppercorn salad dressing base to flavor it, too. Substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream and go easy on the mayo - the buttermilk gives it a lot of body.0 -
i know this may sound weird but sometimes when i put chicken broth on as dressing, it can work when you are having a chicken fajita type salad, and just makes the lettuce more moist and taste of chicken! i thought it was gross when i thought of it, but i like it now!0

I usually make this by eye, but roughly quantified, my favourite homemade dressing is:
4 parts greek yogurt
2 parts apple cider vinegar
1 part pure maple syrup (or honey)
...play around with it to taste. It's around 20 calories per tbsp (depending on how much maple syrup you add), and you get a bit of protein from the greek yogurt.0 -
Arugula, lemon juice, a bit of extra virgin olive oil, and a little goat cheese is really yummy, and because of the lemon juice and olive oil you don't need the dressing Or you can make your own lemon vinaigrette, there are plenty of really good recipes online! I like Ina Garten's recipe the best though0

extra virgin olive oil and vinegar
lemon juice (preferably fresh) can also be used in place of (or with in small amounts) the vinegar.
i do a one to two ratio. one teaspoon extra virgin + two citrus/vinegar.
and of course, any dried seasonings you like. salt & pepper are a must for me.0 -
I would DRENCH my salad in ranch! And I still use it on my salad but i make my own ranch. I buy the KROGER brand fat free sour cream (because it isnt as thick as other fat free sour cream) and i buy the ranch packets!!! mix those together and viola....fat free yummy yummy yummy ranch!!!!!0

I always just stick with the trick of getting your dressings on the side and dip your fork in them, instead of drenching your salad in them. This works for me, saves me hundreds of calories, but I still get to enjoy my favorite dressings!0
