Food search

No food items are coming up when I type them in the search box, how am I meant to look at calories in food in this app if the item doesn’t have a bar code to scan ? Thank you

  I would be very appreciative for some clarifications
  Can I look them up from the site ? It seems so weird looking at food items without a bar code!
