I am 55, dropped 60 lbs since March of 2019. I am stuck. I have 15 lbs to go for my goal. I have cut back on calories, burn more calories during workouts and for the past 6 weeks +, I have wavered around the same weight give or take a lb or two. Do I start chopping off body parts?? Very frustrated. I am very happy with how I feel, how clothes fit but this stupid number is really important to me. I m a very goal oriented person; my own baggage- any suggestion would be appreciated

When you're down to the vanity pounds weight loss is frustratingly slow.

You don't have the same margin of error available to you as you did when you had 60lbs to go. Are you weighing your foods? Set yourself to 0.5lbs per week and really focus on your accuracy for a few weeks or consider taking a diet break (eating at maintenance for a couple of weeks, to give your hormones a break from a long period of eating at a deficit). It's a good practice run for maintaining.

Also if you're happy with how you look and feel - focus on goals other than the scale that help with your weight loss - aiming for better nutrition, better sleep, etc.

Thanks- the idea of focusing on the Vanity pounds is a good way to look at it, because again- it’s a number in my mind; I won’t die over this, but I would have likely had a shorter life if I hadn’t taken off the 60. Focusing on ways to maintain healthy nutrition or setting other goals related to healthy living seems like a better use of my energy. 🙂
