Hola! So a little about me! I am 26 year old female living in Houston, TX. I am trying to lose about another 13 pounds to bring it to a total of a 100 ib weight loss!!!! I have lost about 88 lbs and let me tell you it has been a roller coaster ride! I started at 175 and gained 70 pounds when pregnant. My highest weight was 245. I knew i was heavy and was extremely depressed. I wouldnt leave the house because I didnt want to run into anyone i went to school with. I didnt take pictures because i didnt want to come to the realization that i was big. Finally after a year a picture was captured of me and when i saw it i bursted into tears because i didnt realize i was THAT big. So let the diets...."miracle pills"....excerise....starving myself begin! Almose 90 lbs later I am here and happy!! I recently signed up for a 5k so just started training for that. Let me just say I HATE RUNNING. I love spinning and did that A LOT but refused to run. Now I am starting to actually enjoy it...

so there you have it.....ME!!!!!!! Im looking forward to meeting new people on here and start getting into the discussions!!!!

You can do it!!! I started in April 245lb and never a runner. Did 1/4 mile @ 4.5mph and thought I was going to die. Last Saturday I did my first official 5k and finished in 27:55 (down to 186lb too).

Being signed up is a great idea! Gives you a goal to focus on and to be ready for that day. I did that for my 5k and this month I'm going to get ready for my first 10k on Oct 1st.

Crossing that finish line is a great feeling!
  • Thanxxx guys!!!! I always said I would do a MS150 race (a bike race from houston to austin) before i would even attempt to run even a half marathon!!! Yes i would rather sit on a bike for 150 miles than to run 13! Ugh.....but im PUSHING
