I am going to a BBQ and I want to make a Broccoli salad. Traditionally it has bacon...what can I substitute that is crunchy and salty? For the bacon? I wanted to do this becasue the host is vegetarian. He is gracious and entertains all eating styles but I just want something he and other veggies can enjoy!

what about some salted almonds?0

Hmm...you could use Morningstar Farms Bacon Strips, they don't have the perfect "crunchiness" like real bacon does..close but not quite. There are also a lot of bacon bits brands that don't use meat (just check out the labels)...0
