Everyone share a non-scale victory. It can be something from this week, a favorite NSV that you have accomplished in the past or one that you can’t wait to accomplish soon. Here’s mine...
Y’all! I’m on day 18 of no sugar!
🍩🍫🍪🧁🥧🍭🍫🎂🍦🍰
DAY 18 AND ZERO SUGAR!! Who am I??!?? I seriously have no idea how I’m doing this. Normally when I cut out sweets I can only last a few days before I cave and eat a cookie. 😄
The one supplement I drink each day to control my sugar cravings does have a little bit of stevia in it, but other than that I’ve had nothing sweet!!! I can’t tell you how stinkin happy I am right now and how proud I am of myself I am!! 🙌🏻👏🏻💪🏻
(Also, looking for low carb friends so we can keep each other motivated! Feel free to add me!)

I got on MFP because I was about to need a new belt and decided to lose what I've gained during the last few years. Well, I need a new belt now since that belt is too big now.10

I ran for 5 minutes without stopping to walk today. That's a victory for me for sure!12

In the past:
-Learned to do double-under jumprope. Still working on being able to do more than one at a time
-Can run without immediate shin pain.
-Starting to learn to cook, and actually getting enthusiastic about making my own food
This week:
-Used heavier weights for lunge walk without prompting from trainer. Made both trainers do a double-take when they saw which I was using!
-Went for half mile run with gym friends and while I did have to stop to walk, they never caught up to me. My stride has no chill6 -
I've had a few in the last couple weeks which is cool as they don't happen as often in maitenance!
- discovered the reason I could put on and take off my favorite jeans without unbuttoning is because I'm down 2 sizes!
- went up 20lbs and 40lbs on leg weights, pretty exciting as I injured my chest last week and can't do arms right now.
- climbed 189 flights of stairs on stair treadmill!
- was able to roller skate for the first time since a teen, I couldn't stand more than 5 minutes a year ago from chronic pain.
- Biggest overall is having a more mobile body and going off diabetes medication the day I hit goal. Sorry so long, I'm very grateful for the improvements!8 -
The scale has been stuck pretty much for 10 days but yesterday I decided to get new jeans for the first time since I started (down 38.2lbs) because my tightest pair of size 18s were too baggy. I grabbed a bunch of 16s to try at the store and they were too baggy still!!! Bought a size 14. No idea when the last time I wore that size was. Maybe start of highschool? So happy.6

My knee is bothering me, so I wrote a note to myself to take it easy and try to keep step count under 18k/day.
My goal in September was to walk 10k steps every day.

The nurse administering my flu vaccination said I obviously exercised as my upper arms are so well defined and apologised for any pain he caused. Two years ago the same nurse did the vaccination and had to put it in the top of my leg as my arms were so thin and stringy x6

I've been working hard on my core the past few weeks and can officially do full side planks, no longer have to do them from my knees, so that progress feels good.9

My mom said.....you look like you've lost weight!!!
Major win8 -
I gave blood today and after they took my pressure, it was 120/80. They said that is officially a perfect number6

My colleague did not just ask me if I had lost weight. She straight up told me I did, and that it became super obvious in the last few days. Super motivation7

I feel like I have reached a new stage, that if I took a new progress photo it would show improvement. The last few progress photos I took I did because it was time not because I felt different and this one I am actually excited to take. Not taking it for another few weeks, in the mean time I am going to give it my all and see what I else I can change before then
I also purposefully wore a tighter t-shirt to party over the weekend just because I really feel comfortable with my shape. I still need to loose a few pounds (ok little more then a few...) but I feel like I am getting there and it's wonderful.2 -
Joined a gym last week and have gone every other day (twice on Saturday). Haven't had any noticeable progress, yet, but sticking with it and actually enjoying it!3

I really love reading these. As we all know, the scale is not the only indicator of healthy changes and sometimes it not even a good indicator.
A couple nsv’s -
- I put on a tank top yesterday that I hadn’t worn since the summer and I was like “oh my goodness, what happened to this tank top?” It looked completely stretched out but turns out it’s my body that has changed and now that top is too big on me.
- upped my squat weight at the gym this morning and felt strong.5 -
I had a goal to do two walks today and I did them.2
-
i have had to tighten my belt to a new, tighter hole this week1
-
I can actually see the veins in my hand now2
