Low calorie cakes?

I love Victoria Sponges but the calories are off the wall! Anyone have any recipes for lower calorie but nice versions?

Not a specific recipe, but you can subsitute part or all of the oil in cakes with applesauce. They still come out moist, but will have fewer calories.
