30 Days In

Hi all, have always been big but decided to do something about it finally.
Starting weight 266lbs and have been counting the calories and exercising more with the help of this site.
Now at 239lbs after 30 days and looking forward to the next 30 days. Long term goal is 200lbs so still a journey ahead as I know the first few weeks of weight loss show the most impressive results.

Worked out my original calorie intake before starting this journey and it was between 4,500 - 5,000 cals daily, with most coming from junk food and snacks.
Consulted a doctor and after he worked out my BMI and BMR, he recommended 1,500 - 2,000 per day and increase exercise, which so far I have found OK and simple to achieve with the help of the food and exercise diary on this site. I must admit I had a bit of a stumble this weekend with going out with friends and making the wrong food choice (pizza anyone?), but will work harder this week to get back on track.

Thanks guys, I know it's a long journey ahead and my weight loss goals are 2 - 3lbs a week after this great start. I am now fitting in clothes I was about to throw out and at a weight I haven't been in over 15 years.
