Tall girl weight loss (women 5’9 and above)

Hello everyone. After entering a very happy relationship over the last two years, I have gained a lot of love weight. 15+ pounds or so. I am still considered in the healthy/standard weight range, however I want to drop about 10 pounds to regain my confidence.
I am having a hard time knowing how much I should eat according to my weight. I am currently calorie counting and doing IF. Below are my stats:
Age: 27
Height: 5’8 1/2 (175 cm)
Weight: 161
Basal Metabolic Rate: 1559
Fat mass: 29.8%
Muscle mass: 48.8 kg (107lbs)
Currently on IF 16:8 and consuming ~1200-1380 calories a day with light exercise. Am I doing things right? Will I see results?

What's your TDEE? 1,200-1,380 seems love for your height, even in a healthy range.1

You will certainly see results but you may find it unsustainable to stick with in the long term and your weight might just bounce back on if you discontinue the diet when you reach your target weight. For reference, I am 5ft8.5 and eat around 1700-2000 per day with weights/resistance exercise 3-4 times a week. If it’s size rather than weight you’d like to lose, it might be more sustainable for you to keep the calories up but start a lifting programme like new rules for lifting for women, stronglifts 5x5 or strong curves.2

You're in the healthy weight range for your height. So you are definitely not eating enough.

Set your Goals here to "Lose 1/2 pound per week." Choose your Activity Level honestly and based on the choices it gives.
Log food as accurately as you can.
When you exercise, log that and eat a little more on those days.
Do that for 4-6 weeks and adjust at the end of that time based on results.

Yesssss my tall ladies! There aren't enough of us on here... it's hard to relate to the shorter women saying they are overweight at 120!!!!

You will definitely see results at 1200-1300 but I feel it's too aggressive. It will be much easier to stick to it if you give yourself maybe 1600 and you still still see results. With your goals in mind, you should only be aiming to lose about .5 lbs per week! Take my word for it... i have tried the 1200 calorie thing and shredded weight for a week or two but its not sustainable. I tried a couple hundred calories more and it's like wow...this is so much easier. Oh, I wish you would believe me lol.3 -

First, how did you come up with 1788? What do you do for work or school?
I'm 5'8" and I lost my last 15 pounds (from 155 to 140 pounds) at 1600 calories PLUS Exercise calories. I'm not working and have a pretty sedentary lifestyle in general.
Your 250 calorie deficit (1788-250=1538) would be a much better place to start. PLUS eating more on exercise days.

I calculated using an online TDEE calculator. I am in grad school and work. I usually don’t have time to work out
So far I haven’t been too hungry. When I do work out I definitely eat at least 15001 -
Girl I do damn near nothing and still losing lots of weight eating up to 1700 calories a day. Some days I feel full and it's only 1400 but always under. Set your calorie goal higher and aim to stay under it, rather than so few calories and getting discouraged when you go over. It's a mental game.0
