    I went into this movie thinking I wouldn't like it. I really, really enjoyed it. I've added it to my digital library which is rare for me. The trailer will give you an idea if it's for you.

    As a black woman this movie hit home for me. Growing up black didn't shield one from differing levels of black on black hate, especially in a native cultural setting. Boarding school for me & my sister K was akin to the annoying little girl they'd called "Madame" in this movie, as observed by the Pakehas back then.

    This movie touches on ones need to belong and the vantages one goes to from the boy's inception to reach a semblance of it ... His parents opting in for his British fosters to allay their direct roles whilst in Law School in London and later the boy too.
