Here's the deal. I recently hit my goal which I've very happy about. Over the past few weeks I've been slowly increasing my calories to maintenance level which is about 2000 calories a day. It seems like I'm slowly gaining very slight increments of weight. My fitness pals that reached your goal, how are you maintaining? Are your calories at maintenance level?

Congratulation. :flowerforyou:
I increased from 1200 to 1400 and have maintained for over 6 months. Just don't stop logging, it really helps keep you honest.0 -
It is possible that your actually maintenance is lower than what MFP has calculated. this could be for a few reasons, you under ate while losing and slowed your metabolism down, you have less than "average" muscle mass used in the BMR calculation, you may not be measuring your food correctly (eating more than you think your are), or you could be over estimating calories burned from exercise.0

Hey. Once you reach your goal and start maintaining it's natural to gain a few pounds. It's not going to continue thou. Stick to 2000 cals and you'll be able to maintain no problem. I know it sucks to gain even a little back after all the effort put into losing weight but it's ok. I've had the same story.0

I also switched to 1420 for maintenance. I stopped logging and sure enough I began to gain. I've gone back to logging and have been maintaining for a while now. Logging does keep me honest.0

i am maintaining at the moment. i increased my cals slowly, going from 1200 when i was losing 1lb per week, to 1380 to lose 1/2lb per week when i was 4 pounds off my goal weight, and then slowly upping my cals by 100 per week. i am currently on 1600 (and eating my exercise cals) and will go to 1700 on saturday. MFP says that my maintenance is 1620 but a lot of people say that this is a very low estimate, so i will go as high as i can before i start gaining again!0

I too have reached my goal and have a calorie count of 1900. Don't stop exercising. I have moved from 5 workouts a week to 4 and keep logging and eating healthy. Are you drinking enough water?0
