Why are calories 1200? What is your goal?1

Nine times out of ten if MFP shows 1200 calories it's because you've chosen an overly aggressive and inappropriate rate of loss. This usually happens when you don't have enough weight to lose to safely achieve the selected rate of loss and unless you're very obese then 2lbs (or possibly even 1lbs) per week just isn't realistic or advisable.
Choosing 2lbs per week will take your maintenance calories and reduce it by 1000cals. This means, unless you're maintenance calories are greater than 2200 cal per day it will bottom out at 1200cal. This also means that even at 1200cals you'll not be in a sufficient calorie deficit to actually see a 2lbs per week loss. For example, if you're maintenance calories are 1700 and you select 2lbs per week, MFP will bottom out at 1200 calories, your deficit will be 500 calories which will be 1lbs per week actual loss.1
