I have an apple watch gen 3 and it said today i burned 300 calories from my workout. Should i take it seriously or just with a grain of salt? I am trying to eat back my calories so i’m not in too much of a defict but i don’t want to eat it back if it’s not actually that much. Thank you!:)

I’ve heard it takes a little bit to calibrate for accuracy, but I can say that mine is spot on, I lose or gain for that matter within 0.1lb of what I would expect based on the numbers from my watch and logging my food.2

It seems pretty accurate once it's calibrated to you. You can google how to do that but the calibration procedure is something that you are likely to do spontaneously by accident anyway and so you're probably already good.0

I have the 5 series and it seems really accurate for my exercise calories. A little high for my total daily calories though. I eat back all of exercise calories from what my watch says and lose the expected amount per week.0
