Hi all, My name is Carrie and I am 32 years old. My husband and I have two amazing kiddos, a daughter who is almost 4 and a son who is 2.5 - we are a busy family! :) Last August, at 220lbs, I bought a treadmill thinking that I wanted to get serious about losing...I did ok throughout the fall, definitely exercised more than ever and lost about 5-7 pounds....then the holidays hit. When January 1st came around I was READY to make some serious changes. Since then I have lost a total of just over 30lbs - I am beyond thrilled! I started running on my treadmill a lot and doing Pilates and even doing Jillian Michaels' Shred! I did great until the summer started. Around the end of May I just got slack about my eating. I haven't gained much (2 or 3) lbs all summer but its not where I was hoping I'd be by this time. I JUST found this site and I LOVE it! I love tracking my food and exercise - it has just really helped me see where I can get to and how to do it! Just this week I have lost 2 lbs and I am beyond thrilled. This morning I got my lowest scale number EVER (182.4) and I am more motivated than ever to keep going!! I am in the BEST shape of my life and I am wishing I did this for myself so much sooner - but I'm only looking forward now, forward to being healthy and teaching my kids how to be healthy! My husband is LOVING it, and so am I!! :) Thanks for listening to my story and I look forward to getting to know you all on the boards! :)

Your story is inspiring. Hopefully soon, I will be to the point where you are with your exercise routine.

Carrie... I'm with you (found this a long time ago)! Good luck on your journey - you have a great attitude and thinking positive will pull you through! I, too love mfp! It's been almost 4 months for me and I'm more than half way to my goal... I think you'll find that there a lot of really supportive people on this community blog, so if you're like me you'll sit down periodically and read some of the success stories. We truly are all in this together! Good for you, keep up the fantastic work!!
