Adding food to my database

Hey guys, how do I add food to my database? I dont want to add it to my diary, just the database via the Barcode scanner? Driving me nuts trying to find out. Cheers, Jane

You can add to the database here:https://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/new
But it doesn't have an option for a barcode. If you want to add barcode, maybe go back a few months in your diary and make a bogus entry list and add them there.1 -

Scanning just brings up something already in the database if you want to add a food to the database go to my foods and create food. it will then be on your list of "my foods" But it wont link it to the barcode scanner.1
