Hi there. My name is Sable Grey and I spend approximately 15 hours a day on a computer. I gained 30 lbs about 5 years ago and I haven't been able to shed any of it until recently when I really got serious, cut out potato chips and hot dogs from my diet, and started working out.
I found this site last week and really enjoy the tools it offers. It keeps me focused. My goal is to lose 4-5 lbs a month. When I started the diet back in December I weighed 180lbs. I now weigh 166lbs. My goal is 150lbs. I'm tall and carry weight well so I think that would be a good weight for me since I'm working on not just losing weight but getting into shape as well.
I work from home but have a treadmill. Since I've just started working out, I only aim for a mile to a mile and a half a day. I'd like to work my way up to five miles a day, walking and running.I also do a five minute warm up of crunches and lift 2.5 lbs on each arm while I'm walking. And of course I'm using the myfitnesspal tools here to keep track of my calories.
It's working well for me. Since the middle of Feb, I've lost 4lbs. I'm very happy about that. I'd like to be able to wear a bikini by June (not that I will...but I'd like the option lol). I just had my 35th birthday and it occurred to me that I've no worn a bikini is 10 years. So I want to be able to wear one again if I choose to.
And with my grandfather's quickly failing health, I've become very aware of how important it is to take care of myself. Soooooo, here I am.
