10,000 Step Challenge For Sept

I'm getting back into my diet and exercise plan tomorrow (Sept 1) and am looking for some motivation. I have a sedentary work-at-home desk job and am looking to get moving. Anybody up for a 10,000 step challenge? Let's try to see how close we can get to 10,000 steps each day for the month!

Yes, I started this yesterday! I am going to try for 10,000 steps a day.0

I'll try it. I also have a sedentary job, but if I focus on it, I do have time where I could get up and walk.0

I am getting back into my diet and exercise also starting tomorrow (9/1). Are we going to post how may steps we do each day??? Or how do we work this?0
-
Count me in! Do we report daily? weekly?0
-
Let's post daily and see how that goes. Sounds like we've got a lot of support to get this going!0

Just wondering - how do you track the steps? Using a pedometer? Sounds interesting ---- :bigsmile:0

i was looking for a harder challenge is there anybody out there how could do a challenge with me i do around 30,000 steps a day0
-
Yes, I use a pedometer. 30,000 steps is a bit too challenging for me. 10,000 is challenging enough for now, but for those who want to go above and beyond, by all mean go for it!!!

FYI - I created a Walking (steps not minutes) in the Cardio options. So instead of minutes, I could enter in steps to calculate calories burned. (My pedometer estimates calories based on steps so I used that.) Wanted to pass it on in case anyone else would find it useful.0

I couldn't find the exercise you created under cardio of walking (steps not calories). I tried to create something similar, as my pedometer shows how many calories I burned in a day. However, when I create the exercise, it says I have to fill in a number for the duration. It's hard for me to calculate that, as I wear it always. Any advice you can give, I'd greatly appreciate. Thanks!0
