Set yourself up for Success

I believe that many times we set ourselves up to fail... I know that happens to me, when I don't prepare meals and am busy and need to quick eat something and then I "fail"... so instead of setting myself up to fail- I set myself up to be successful. This means, I do meal planning for the week etc.. so that I always know what I'm going to eat and when.
Do any of you do meal planning? Do you just count calories or do you follow another program like weight watchers? Have any great meal ideas for whole families? (That's are budget friendly also?)

You make a great point. In the past I have lost weight when I have taken the time to plan meals, and not only have I eaten healthier food, but I have eaten NICER meals (for example, taking the time to prepare a lunch with all the trimmings (looks pretty and healthier for all the veggies) instead of running and grabbing something from McD's or even from the freezer at home (unless you have pre-frozen your secret low cal but filling minestrone or ??).
Every time I say I am too tired to plan my meals I find that this is when I stop eating healthy.
Sorry I don't have any recipes. I am researching healthy meals for families, too, bec/ even though my kids like veggies, it is really hard to get my husband to skip multiple portions and eat more vegetables!0
