NSV -- and I didn't even know it!

So just a little something I'm proud of...
...4 months ago, getting me to hit up the gym and "work out" was like pulling teeth. I would think of any excuse to NOT go. But like many of us on MFP, I realized that life the way I was living it was not working, and if *kitten* didn't change... well, things would only go down hill.
...2 months later, I decided to make a change -- and I hopped on to an elliptical machine at the gym. Ok so I JUST ABOUT DIED about 4 1/2 *minutes* in... seriously. Four and a half minutes... I was panting, gasping for air, sweating, and almost in tears. Holy crap, talk about out of shape!
That was 2 months ago. I've been sticking to it, going to the gym regularly, eating right and staying active.
Today, on the elliptical.. I found myself panting and sweating, no gasping no tears... 50 minutes in! I could feel the burn, but not death on my doorstep and I feel sooo good about it!!
I wanted to share this because many of my MFP friends are discouraged by not seeing the numbers on the scale drop as much as they want them to... but I want you to know there are SO many other ways to measure your success throughout your journey! DON'T GIVE UP, AND DON'T LOSE SIGHT OF YOUR GOALS!! Keep fighting, guys You are totally worth it... ♥

What a great story!! I sooo love the Elliptical, its my favorite machine at the gym. Running on the treadmill kills me, like I can literally only run for MAX 2 minutes and then I start to feel my lungs collapsing LOL!0

Great post, well done you! You are so right, we are continually improving in so many areas whilst sticking to our programs/routines, cant rely on the scales alone. I get a lift out of how many cms off my waist, hips and bust each week, even if the scales dont move and how much faster i can do 1km/ 3km 5km and hopefully soon 10km. fitness and strength rocks!!!0
