What’s your favourite music at the gym?

What’s blasting in your earbuds?
What songs/artists get you in the zone?
Recently, I like AC/DC to get pumped, and The Killers to stay consistent and upbeat, and RHCP just to have some fun

Also accepting song recommendations!

For weight lifting it's heavy metal (used to listen to Judas Priest and like Five Finger Death Punch's Lift Me Up when I'm lagging though the words are kinda goofy) though I went old school and was listening to Whitesnake's In The Still of The Night the other day and ended up listening to hair bands from the 80s. Cardio is symphony rock (mostly my favorite Nightwish songs). Dancing and strength exercises like sit-ups and push-ups is disco and 80s funk (Prince, BeeGees, Rick James). AC/DC has some good songs for getting pumped! That's why I like the faster music for weights so I can "attack" them.

Nothing. I don't want to be disturbed by music, be it my own or general music in the room as I want to focus on the exercises I'm doing.

wow idk how you do it. I personally need some kind of audio to drown out the noise of the gym and to keep my inner voice from speaking negatively

I'm a super weirdo, but I love celtic music and movie and tv scores like "Game of Thrones". One of my favorites is "Turtle" off the Cinderella Man score. Something about that song makes me want to run for miles.

    I know - SUPER nerdy!

But when I'm lifting weights I'm always listening to a Podcast like "My Favorite Murder" or "This American Life".

And some punk sprinkled in with Teenage Bottlerocket, Pennywise, Green Day, Masked Intruder, Billy Talent, offspring

Gotta keep the energy up lol

I'm a Baby Boomer. I grew up in the 60's, so I love the oldies like: Beatles, Mama's and Papa's, Beach Boys, Herman's Hermits, etc. I also like soundtracks of movies like "Funny Girl". I prefer music with a somewhat rapid beat so I will work harder when I am at the gym.

Metallica and Justice for All or Mater of Puppets most of the time. Sometime I mix it up with SirusXM Octane or liquid metal channels.

I’ve had to start listening to ambient/atmospheric/new-agey stuff (Dan Gibson, Jeremy Soule, etc) when I go to the gym. Found that the music one would usually expect at a gym was stressing me out, both as a distraction as well as feeding ocd behaviours.

It'll sound strange, but wrestling themes are great at the gym since they are designed to pump people up upon hearing them. For instance:
