LEAN BY HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE (PART II)

Inital thread reached max! Let's pick up where we left off :)


Starts July 1st and ends October 31st!

First: go to: http://www.tickerfactory.com to select a ticker with a Halloween theme.

Next: Title your ticker "Lean by Halloween" and set the values to your personal competition goal (ie: 20lbs).

Then: Return to the MFP community section, select "signature" & post the code in there!

Then: (If you haven't already) Introuce yourself & your goal!



Please try to check in on this thread at least once a week, share where you're at!

    So I will weigh in and decide on a goal and set up my ticker tomorrow, but here is my deal, in a nutshell:

    From my profile:
    I want my outsides to match my inside. I like to think of myself as a strong, outgoing, beautiful woman but I don't think others always see me that way. I have always been unhappy with my weight to some degree even when I was lighter/ thinner than I am now. That makes it hard to be the confident girl I wish I was and to live life in the way I think it should be lived.
    I don't want to feel like there are any limits to what I can do. I hope that with lots of help, perserverance, and time I will be pleasantly surprised at what I am capable of.

    And, truly, I could use some fresh motivation. I have lost some weight and I am prob a little smaller than when I was in high school, which I thought was huge when I was in high school, but as I gained weight in college, I realized that I had been pretty harsh on myself and should have been more accepting and less self conscious about my size when I was younger. So now here I am: I keep getting caught between trying to love and accept my body and remember that we all have flaws and that I am beautiful no matter what size yada yada (if I should love myself how I am, then I don't need to try to lose weight, do I? Give me those cookies.) and really wanting to be smaller, leaner, stronger, and knowing that I am capable of better than "good enough." My motivation and commitment really wax and wane lately and I would like some help with that.

    Hey there! I know I'm incredibly late getting in on this challenge, but I thought I'd give it a go regardless. And considering I started my weight loss journey about the same time this challenge started, I'll add the sixteen pounds to my final goal.

    At first, I wanted revenge. I wanted my ex to feel so terribly about letting me go that he would change his mind and come back to me. So that's the reason I started. True I hated the way I looked in photos around that time, but it was mostly so that when he first saw me after months apart, I'd be more stunning than any girl he dated after me. That being said, I want to lose about thirty pounds overall. Though, I might stop at 20 pounds if 30 pounds is too much/unhealthy. Mostly, I want to tone.

    My goal for this challenge: Lose 1 pound for each month he and I were together: 8 (total weight loss by Halloween should be 24 pounds). I also want to try small goals like being able to hold a plank for three consecutive minutes every day.

    I'm down another .4 since I last posted so I have a little less than 14lbs to go. Not bad considering I haven't been eating as good due to events over the holiday. I've been getting a lot of walking in with lots of heavy stroller pushing. Ticker updated.

    Checking in. Still stuck at the same weight. 127 lbs. Still trying to find a gym in my area, so hopefully the plateau ends here.
