Hi..I'm jess! I'm not really new. I had mfp in 2017. I was doing low carb in 2017 and switched gears to keto..most of my keto days were weighing in macros and being obsessed if I went over. I ate too much dairy and drank fat broths. I started my weight in 2017 around 272? In August 2017 after a few months on keto I went from 272 to 235. Most of it water weight. Also my triglycerides went down and I was so much happier health wise.
I lost my focus from September 2017 to now due to emotional trauma. I went back to my typical eating and gained weight. I spent that time not having health insurance so lot of health problems crept up on me. Elevated liver enzymes from sugar and alcohol, low hdl and elevated ldl cholesterol, and my blood pressure is worse. This is all from American standard diet. My emotional health is poor. I hate being obese, tired of being tired and dont want to be on medication for the rest of my life. I dont want to be an emotional eater anymore!
I just started being healthy and stay that way. I know keto to low carb works for me so that's my goal. I want to limit dairy and consume more leaner meats and fish..I want to eat more cruciferous veggies. I dont want to be consumed on macros or numbers yet. Also to stay no to sugar and processed foods. I also desire to have gym membership so I can swim 3 to 4 times a week.
All this lifestyle changes are overwhelming and I know i need accountability and like minded friends who are on the same journey. I am leaning on my faith in Jesus to do this though. If your interested in being my friend please comment. And take note I am married..i feel more comfortable having female friends.
Have a good day!

I understand. I lost 40 lbs in 2 013 with my fitness pal and now in 2020 I am right back where i started from. I guess the only thing to do is go back to my fitness pal and start over. A lot of people think when you're 76 it's all over . But i still have to get out of bed, do my own housework, take care of my husband, go to church and the grocery store. At 200 lbs i can't do any of that without back pain . I just can't carry this weight. My goal is 170.lbs. 160 would be great but realistically... at 170 I might be able to keep some of my clothes. So
Best wishes to you.

Hi. My name is Diana. I'm happily married and have two sons ( 21 and 9 years old). I lost about 35 pounds a few years back. Unfortunately, I gained it all back due to having a poor handle on stress eating. So, I've had to start all over again. I'm 25 pounds down so far. Definitely looking for friends on this journey, since the ones I had before on MFP are long gone.0
