3 things I can't understand:
* "# of Sets"
* "Repetitions/Set"
* "Weight per Repetition"

So I made 40 push ups without any additional weights.
Am I filling it right?

# of Sets - 40
Repetitons/Set - 1
Weight per Repetition - blank

Replies

  • It would be 1 set of 40 reps in that case I think!

    A set is a collection fo reps. So say I did 50 jumping jacks...I did 25, rested, then did 25 more so it would be 2 sets of 25 jumping jacks.

    Err im not the best explaining things but hope that helps (and hope it is right because I am no fitness savvy girl lol)

    No, you did one set of 40 push ups. If you broke it up and took a rest in the middle you would have done 2 sets of 20 reps.

    ok.. I think
    # is number.. so number of reps
    Rep/Set would be how many reps per set..
    then
    weight per rep is the weight lifed in each rep

    so if you did 10 reps in a set then 5 sets (with a break in between sets) you could change the weight per rep if you had lots of weights or you could do the same weight per rep for a whole set, then add weights to increase the weight per rep for a set.

    If you are doing your 40 pull ups in one set (i.e. no break) then it's as the PP's said :)

    Did you do all 40 pushups at once without rest? If so, it should look like this:

    # of sets - 1
    Reps per set - 40
    Weight per set - Body weight

    If you did 40 in a row, that is 1 set of 40 reps. If you did 1, rested a few minutes, did another, and so on, until you hit 40 total, that would be 40 sets of 1 rep. Rep is short for repetition.
  • I did all 40 at once, soooo:

    # of sets - 1
    Reps per set - 40
    Weight per set - 79

    ??

    //EDIT::
    And how can I change "Weight per set" from LBS to KG?

    The weight would be body weight.

    The rest is fine.
    You can also write/type it out as----
    Body weight push ups. 1x40
