What impact is COVID-19 having on your daily routine? My gym closed and I'm having to find new ways to work out, running usually. Grocery shopping, forget it. Teleworking and social distancing is killing my motivation. But I'm here trying to stay focused.

You're not alone. Boredom is my biggest issue and the frustration of trying to work from home. My computer won't connect so I'm trying to work from a 10" iPad, lol. Hang in there, this won't last forever but will likely get worse before it gets better. Just keep your eyes on the light at the end of the tunnel.3

Booooorrrred!! Lacking motivation for both work and working out. And fighting the snack demons constantly.
To be positive though it could be A LOT worse. I keep telling myself “ at least I don’t have any friends or family with the virus or have it myself.”5 -
Yes, it is actually very hard to stay on track. It's more than a week that I can't get out of the house and it's starting to take a toll. Moreover, I'm working from home and have a ton of work, deadlines and stress. So I risk everyday to eat from stress and boredom. But paradoxically, I'm much more aware of the risk now, so I've reacted and I'm actually eating better. As for working out, my climbing gym have organised to do some training live on Facebook, and they are helping keeping me on track. It is not optimal but I am proud of me for doing this much in this situation...

My gym is closed. Classes cancelled. The economy is tanking. My job is at risk. My government is stupid and selfish. My anxiety is ramped way up.
Basically everything sucks.21 -

I am an introvert, social distancing is no problem, retired and due to being an introvert I do not rely on a gym or others to motivate me. Life is normal for me. Only thing that has messed me up is the change is store hours that have required me to adjust my shopping and the crowds that I have to deal with to get the meager options that are available.9

Yes I know, it is a worrisome situation, I hope everything is going to get better soon and that you don't loose your job...
For me at least I know that I can trust my government (I'm in Italy), it has reacted well so far, and there is a sense of solidarity among the people and that is comforting. Everybody is doing its best, I'm sure it is going to get better soon!8 -

^This. I have been eating better as a result, using up alot of what I already have, dry beans, canned tomatoes etc. I've been getting out and walking more also, even in the snow yesterday. Feels good to be alone in the fresh air not reading about the situation.6 -
I’m sleeping a lot more. There’s just no point in being awake if I have to sit in my condo by myself. I’ll have to run out to the store soon and plan on picking up Benadryl to have in hand in case I run out of sleeping pills before this is all over. At least if I sleep, I’m not tempted to eat.9

I am still doing my workouts to full, but my diet has gone completely down the drain at the moment.
I have been eating biscuits and crisps just to calm myself down. I think I suffer slightly from anxiety, but I will get there. Fingers crossed.

I've never been great at working from home (usually it's one day a week), but doing it full time is disastrous. Zero concentration (especially with the glorious spring weather outside) and very hard to resist the temptation of snacking.
Compounded with a lower activity level since I don't have my daily walks to and from work, and as I'm a bit sick myself I'm currently avoiding serious exercise. I have a ridiculously low number of calories left for dinner
While I heal, I'm being a bit flexible with my calorie goal: as long as I stay under maintenance, it's fine (which is only 250kcals extra, but it still helps me to stay sane)4 -
Work has been crazy, but at least traffic is light. We are not permitted to work from home, which is a pity as I am far more productive when I get away from the distractions of the office. I also have a home gym, so I could be working out on my lunch breaks.3

I’ve been dealing with dull headaches from stress and worry. Also I noticed I am eating more and gaining weight again. I know I need to get back on track. Really not sure why i am eating more, am I depressed or bored? I don’t think it’s boredom because I can happily get lost in a book. I guess it’s low level depression from being a prisoner in my apartment.6

Funnily enough, my normal routine has changed little. I think I am having serious issues because a trip I had planned and very much was looking forward to, is now going to not happen. I am quite disappointed because I have really been in a work rut and this trip was going to be a little escape to reset. I feel like I am slipping into a not-good spot mentally because it seems like all the good things that could have happened, can't now, and all the bad things have ramped up because I am in healthcare so there are added extra problems. It's like there is nothing to look forward to anymore, even the end of the day, I dread, because work is seeping into it and I don't know what to do to stop it. I used to not fear losing my job, but now I fear it because I feel like I will be without a job for a long time if I were to lose my job now.11

I'm sitting in my office waiting for my manager to get back. Mom called, she's having symptoms of either this *kitten* thing or her asthma and sarcoidosis. She has be advised to self isolate. I was last around her Sat.
I may be asked by my work to do the same. Which is fine but now I'm scared for my parents who are twice over in the risk group.6 -
I'm trying to use this time to focus on myself- I literally have zero excuse for not having time now, LOL. I'm looking at this as a project7

I am a teacher and will likely be home for the rest of the school year. It’s definitely different being home and having food and drink available at any moment. It will be a testament to my discipline, but I’ve vowed to come back from this time to shock my colleagues with my progress. Like someone else said, it’s a good opportunity to work on ourselves. I’m starting to think about some ideas for new hobbies.

I already work at home and my gym is in my basement. Under normal circumstances I can go for days without walking out the door of my house.
The impact to me is that stores are either closed or on limited hours (which are my work hours) so getting food is a challenge. The stores that are open are mostly sold out. I have food to eat-I’m not going to starve. But the foods that are typically the largest part of my diet (vegetables) are not available.
Also all activities are cancelled for the next 2 months (minimum)
Constant news alerts and rapid fire shut downs are amping up anxiety. As is the massive economic free fall.
Being in lockdown is really not much of a change. The rest is anxiety producing.0 -
I’ve been using my stationary bicycle (recumbent) and drinking more water. This program is starting to work! I do need to go out to the grocery store soon for fresh salad or vegetables. Trying not to be pessimistic and hoping this situation improves sooner rather than later. Staying out of public as much as possible - good luck to all and just stick with it!2

I'm really struggling with the new routine. Working from home is doing me in. Food/snacks are at my fingertips. I live in the country with gravel roads and walking in the mud right now is not really an option for me. I usually get away from desk 4-5 times a day and walk around my building and on the campus. We are expecting on and off rain showers the next few days...I was hoping for some sunshine to dry out the roads1

COVID-19 has not impacted me yet other than stores closing and restaurants not having dine in, but I do not eat out often anyhow. I am not working from home. It will be a cold day in hell when this firm lets staff work from home. With that being said, I would encourage you guys to stick with the same schedule you had while working in a traditional setting (if you did). Still pack your snacks or meals, etc. What you pack is what you eat. Have your waters lined up and get them in before 5pm. And, honestly, there are so many studios now that are pumping out free content on youtube that exercising at home has probably never been easier. Try not to be anxious. Worry about what you can control and not what you cannot. Easier said than done. But, just divert the mind away from what does not serve your overall mental health and well being. Focus on breathing. Perhaps include a mantra: on inhale say to yourself peace or calm and then on exhale say anxiety or stress.
In addition to this accounting gig that pays the bills, I am a pilates teacher and yoga instructor.
And, btw, I would love to work from home.

What’s nice is there are a lot of work out videos on the internet. I plan on trying different kinds like yoga and any type of dance preferably. Has anyone found one that has a beginner level but is challenging? We have been walking too. Trying to get the kids out of the house so we might be looking into some hikes. Still have snow in some spots so that’s something we have to be cautious of. I’m always up to ideas on what to do with the kids to keep them active. They are teenagers and would rather be on their phones or gaming systems.2

I am cooking, baking, eating. AND drinking more wine than I should. I am on lockdown in Italy. Now you can't even run. So it is true house arrest...which I am happy to do for the good of the country. I like being home, so that part is ok. Just gotta stop eating, drink water and start working out...like 30 day shred and yoga....11

I am in lockdown in NYC. Trying to be considerate to my downstairs neighbors while maintaining some sort of exercise routine. Job is extra stressful right now, though I'm lucky to have one. I'm definitely overeating, even as I fear going to the store to get more fresh food. My step count is scary low these days.8

It's impacting me hard right now, especially on a mood level. Not being active enough while indoors drives me crazy. I get lazy and start snacking... I really need to establish a new schedule and try to stick to it. Truth is, I miss my old life 🙁6

I'm finding that there are some things in my freezer I should be eating. Baked some cauliflower, brussel sprouts, with carrots last night. Trying to be creative and eat healthy. I'm on day 10 of work from home & homeschooling a 7 yr old.

I don't mind working out from home but there are no equipments and facilities so that sucks. I miss socialising with others but I am also enjoying the quietness. I am observing birds that I never noticed before. I am creating home DIY.
I do worry about the health of my mother who is asthmatic, and my niece who gets sick easily.5 -
I’ve been working from home and sticking to my usual routine as if going to work so my eating habits haven’t changed. I miss going to the gym though and just can’t seem to get motivated to workout at home. Also not sleeping very well. I think I need to stop watching the news before bed.4

Most of my exercise is outdoors...road cycling, mountain biking, hiking, walking, etc. My gym closing hasn't had any kind of profound effect on me as I only use it for weight training and spin (winter only really). I actually have more time to get in my rides and whatnot since I don't have a 2 hour daily commute at the moment. Spring is also in full swing here so getting outside is really nice...high of 70* today.1

I’m self isolating. I’m not allowed to leave my apartment at all. I miss not being able to go out for a walk. I have a balcony which I’m very grateful for and a cat who keeps me company. Doing some boredom eating. Getting very little exercise. My plan is to clean my entire apartment. I’ll need to put on some good music for that to happen! I have been emailing friends and family a lot more than usual. It keeps my spirits up. Stay safe everyone 😊5
