I am supposed to keep calorie intake above 1200/day. There are days when I am not hungry, feel full and fall short of the 1200 calories/day. What should I do on these days?

Eat half an avacado or some other calorie- dense food. Double check that you're not shorting yourself of some essential nutrients.4

If it's a rare day (once a week, say), and only a little under (50 calories, say), it's OK, as long as you're not losing weight too fast (max of 1% of current body weight weekly for most people, but suggested max may be lower if you have less than 50 or so pounds to lose, total). That's especially true if on some other day, you're a little over, so that things balance out over the week.
If it's frequent, then eat something calorie dense but not too filling, such as nuts, avocado, peanut butter, a little extra oil on salad or veggies, etc. Some people find drinking calories less filling than eating them (can be nutritious things, if you prefer, like juice, kefir, smoothies, etc.).
If your nutrition is on point, and you have calories left, it's also fine to eat a less nutrient-dense treat food (cookie or candy or ice cream, for example), assuming that those are not trigger foods you have difficulty moderating.
Regularly, persistently undereating increases various kinds of health risks. No one wants that!9 -

Thank you for a great explanation. When I am full and don't need/want to eat the calorie deficit is much greater than 50 cal. I like the idea of nuts or peanut butter. That will fill up those calories easily. I am not loosing weight more than 1% ( another good to know guide line)...Thank you!3 -
Hit the Nuts.com site. Check out their roasted pecans, walnuts, cashews, et. al. Their selection is delicious and once that box arrives, I doubt you'll ever undershoot your calories again
220 calories for 28 g of walnuts. That's a little, tiny portion you will finish in seconds. Like, 5 walnuts.
Worth every calorie, if you've got 'em to spare or are trying to fill them. omg they are great.3 -

I legitimately limit the number of times per year I bring roasted pecans into my home, they're just too good!3 -

Some people prefer to track by week instead of day; this might be beneficial for you as you can bank those extra calories for another day of the week.0
