I Work 8+ Hours

I normally work an 8 hour shift and I am up on my feet walking around for a good portion of it.
Do I count any of that into my exercise or no?

Set your activity level as "active", this will allocate more calories each day to allow for the energy you need to do your busy job.0

I work a 12 hour shift and do a lot of walking but not lifting or carrying too much. I set my activity level to 'lightly active' on my work days.0

Or you could get a pedometer and track it that way... I've heard some will even allow for upload to MFP.0

I was going to suggest lightly active, and then count a couple of hours of walking leisurely pace. My sister is a physical therapist and that's what she does. That way your calories aren't way off on the days you don't work.0

I would definitely not count your normal daily activity as exercise. Just choose your activity level accordingly.0

Okay, but I have my calories set at what the doctor is suggesting I eat per day. It won't allow me to just adjust my activity level to that.0

I count work outs as any activity I don't do on a normal basis. If your walking a lot every single day at your job than thats normal activity, but if you go for 30 minutes of walking after work thats a work out.0
