I definitely miss my gym but I'm fortunate to have the equipment at home that I need to continue my same workouts. Normally, working out at the gym is much easier than at home but knowing that this is reality for a while has helped me to just do it every day like I normally would.

Plus, maintaining my activity level and same way of eating helps deal with the stress of the constant unknown we're dealing with now. Hope things get easier for you!

I notice I don't quite have the same motivation I normally do. Also with the kids at home and demanding all my attention it's hard to have time to myself to workout. Also not getting as many calories and protein as usual so that doesn't help.

Nope. Less to do, fewer distractions...

Social distancing is my preference anyways, now I don't have to fake it. I have a pretty solid home gym, and the trails are a 5-minute drive from my house... Aside from the stomach bug I've been dealing with, this is right in my wheelhouse.

Nope. I'm enjoying the extra time in my day from no commute, it's making the morning run easier. My usual routine is running outside and body weight resistance exercises, so there has been minimal disruption.

Off and on. I'm a terrible stress eater so when that happens I'm not motivated to take care of myself in other ways either. :( I have to push myself and I've never been good at that. :/ Lazy is my middle name.
In fact, 2 weekends of binge eating plus getting lazy with exercise and I gained 3#. It doesn't sound like much but it's the letting-it-all-go-I-don't-care mindset that can destroy all the effort I've made. So this past Monday I got back to it and have lost 1.5#.

For me though, I've created a bit of a different morning routine. I'll have my coffee in the a.m. but instead of eating breakfast around 8 like I used to do, I have my list of things to accomplish before I eat, whether it's exercise, housework, whatever, and as soon as I've finished them, usually around 11-12, I'll have lunch. I'm not any more hungry than I was eating at 8 then 12. Plus I'm more apt to get things done.
So maybe if you can, create a new routine and see if that can work better? Replace your usual work-out with something different? Hiking, jumping rope, cutting wood. :) As for eating, I'm back to lots and lots of veggies, some protein and a little bit of fruit/grains. I've also been buying peanuts in the shell because they take lots longer to eat then grabbing spoons of peanut butter and slathering on bread. :/ Just gotta find something that works for you; Good Luck!!!

This virus has changed everyone's lives and ways of doing things. It's up to us to find our best ways of adapting to it.

Sardelsa, I can see how having kids at home would make it a lot more difficult to stay with a routine or stay motivated. They're pretty needy little creatures. Loveable. But needy. :)

I don’t put much stock in motivation anyway, training and eating well is just something I do. I’ve adapted my training so it’s at home and I’m hoping to either maintain my weight or lose a little. Staying sane is my main aim.

I only ever workout from home and meal prep/cook from home the vast majority of the time anyway so it's pretty business as usual for me. If anything it's an opportunity to maximize my control and consistency. I'm fortunate enough to continue working from home so the extra time from my commute is making my routine a little easier to adhere to and I don't have to contend with lunch meetings and breakroom temptations. There's hardly a reason to stay up any later than I should/intend so my sleep and recovery also seems to be improved. With the weather being decent we're taking more walks through the neighborhood and spending more time outside than normal, which can't be bad either. All-in-all, I'm probably enjoying this more than I should, given the circumstances.

    No chg here

I was "social distancing" long b4 this crisis started. Retired and living alone in a 3k sqft house w/lots of hobbies/distractions available. Never vored

Have all the exercise equipment I need at home but haven't been using any of it bc i reaggravated an elbow injury and can't get a steroid shot 4it bc my ortho has cxled all non-emergency treatments during the crisis.

Still maintaining my wt using MFP to log @thing I eat but I know my stength/fitness has diminished bc of the above but that's only temporary.

The only thing I really miss is visiting w/and hugging my grandkids. :(

That's really good to hear guys! thanks for your replies really encouraging for yall that's keeping on that grind. @sardelsa maybe try and find an hour where the kids are not up yet and get it in. @jm_1234 maybe shift the goal and path instead of cancelling it straight. I'm definitely struggling, I really hate calisthenics and don't have much equipment. Been using a heavy book bag as weights but watching home workout videos constantly on social media really makes me not want to do it.
