Hi all,
I was progressing greatly toward my goals with excellent tracking of my diet and a proper daily fitness routine........before my holiday leave! (a week in Ibiza, Spain) After returning home, my motivation is completely demolished, I don't bother tracking my diet anymore and ive had one too many junk meals.
I don't know why this occurred, but I need to get my motivation back! Your support and advice would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks MFP peeps

Well, the first step is recognizing what happened. Telling people seems to give me the motivation to get back to it. You've done it before and you can do it again. Just start tracking what you eat again and try to get some exercise in each day and you'll be back to it in no time0

I completely relate to your experience. After I do really well with exercise and diet, I end up getting distracted and unmotivated. I figured I would try MFP to see whether I can remain consistent. I am just tired of waking up and asking myself, "how did I let things go this far?" Then the cycle starts all over again. It's too depressing.0

just cant seem to get back into my exercising 5 times a week ,
I also had a solid routine in my lifestyle, and the smallest deviation screws everything up0 -

Honestly, receiving your posts is already motivating me. I worked my *kitten* off to where I am now, and I will let no one, nothing get in the way of it. Believe it or not, most of the time I break my routine just to satisfy other peoples requests who dont really respect your own commitments. Before you know it, its happening on a daily basis.......0 -
Ok it is hard to get back into it after a hol especially if one of your main reasons for slimming was for said hols! I was slimming previously for my wedding and honeymoon and I hadn't got nearly enough weight off so needed to think of reasons to slim again after the honeymoon. First reason I have is majority of my clothes still don't fit and I need them too. Second reason is in May I want to start trying for babies now I am married. Third reason is I want to be as slim as I had gotten when I first met my Hubby in 2009. You may not have the exact same reasons for slimming as me but there is Christmas coming up, or maybe you want to get into a killer dress for a Valentine meal or an anniversary? Or a big birthday? Talking of which I also have one of those next year it is my 30th so another reason to slim. Try and find some real proper reasons to slim and keep reminding yourself of those, maybe write them out and dot them over the house and soon you will be back on track. Hth?0

You have to be selfish when living a healthy lifestyle. In the long run, it is better for everyone around you that you are...but in the short term, you just have to be selfishly focused on your fitness goals. Your true friends and family will understand this. If not, the hell with them.0

I felt the same way after I had my birthday WEEK and then my vacation for another week right after.
Although, when I started to eat a lot of bad foods I feltl sluggish and full all the time, I thought about how eating healthy, exercising, and being on a schedule (like i did before the craziness started) made me feel overall so much BETTER. I kind of eased my way back in to my schedule. I got back from vacation two weeks ago and only within the past couple days have I got back into my routine.
It will happen love.
Good Luck! :smooched:
And if you ever need more support, you know where to find me0
