Motivation, unfortunately, tends to be more internal than external.

For many, the success comes from making the process as easy as possible (small calorie deficit for sensibly slow loss; relatively enjoyable exercise routine gradually phased in; not completely restricting foods you enjoy; not beating yourself up for departures from plan but instead treating them as learning opportunities to improve the plan, and that sort of thing).

The less you routinely need motivation or will power, the more likely success becomes. Pick your plan with that in mind.

Slow and sustainable, for most people, is a quicker path to full success than is a maximum painful hard effort that requires monstrous willpower. Lose half a pound a week consistently, you're 26 pounds lighter in a year. Lose 2-3 pounds a week . . . can you keep that up for the multiple months it would take to lose the same 26 pounds? And what do you do when you reach goal, since you can't or don't want to keep doing those extreme things forever. For sure, the slow route takes less motivation or willpower. And it helps you learn things that will enable to manage your weight long term.

We do lots of things because they're good habits, not because we're "motivated". Are you "motivated" to brush your teeth? Do you need to be "motivated", otherwise you skip your job or studies until you do feel "motivated"? I'm guessing not. You do those things because they're habits, and they need to be done. Try to make managing weight be like that, just some manageable habits that need to be done, not some giant, difficult, heroic production.

Further, the more you focus on the aspects of your situation that you personally control, and how to use them; and the less you focus on obstacles to success, beyond thinking how best to go over/around/past them, the better.
