Having trouble losing weight

I’ve been trying to lose weight for 5 weeks now and the scale stays the same no matter what I eat healthy and I’ve been exercising I feel like giving up.

Are you counting calories and using a food scale?

I understand your frustration my scale as been at 210 for like 5 weeks, so either it's broken, or I need to make some changes.

Have you set a calorie goal, and are you sticking to it consistently? Logging over-goal days as well as on-target ones?

Frankly, eating healthy and exercising are good for one's health, but it's eating the right number of calories that's crucial for weight loss. I stayed obese for over a decade while exercising lots (even competing as an athlete), and getting good nutrition. It was managing my calorie intake that took me from obese to a healthy weight, and has kept me there for 4+ years since.

There are lots of refinements many of us need to make in our logging practices at first, too, to get the accuracy we need. Some big factors are checking the food database entries for accuracy the first time we use them, avoiding using complete-dish estimates other people put in the database but using our own recipes instead (my cheese sandwich and your cheese sandwich might have very different amounts of things!), making sure to log condiments/oils/beveredges/bites/licks/tastes, and overestimating exercise calories we eat back.

I'd love to help if I can, but more details would make that easier.

    Best wishes!
