New here - just stumbled on to this while looking for exercise apps on iPhone. And am pleasantly surprised. 1 week since I started and have lost 5 lbs already - what is surprising is that a. small changes in diet and b. i wasnt able to exercise practically all week, as i tried one of those "military"-style exercise routines and ended up barely able to walk the next day - my quads were t-o-a-s-t...!!.. :-)...in any case have "been here done this" and bounced right back previously so am cautiously optimistic. Nice to see a involved community board and a polite/friendly and noncommercial exchange of ideas and encouragements all around. Cheers everyone.

    Welcome and good luck. I think MFP helps us be both more aware and accountable for what we eat and do. There is a lot of support and it embraces this being a lifestyle change not just a diet. You can do and we will help you through it!
