Workout calorie tracking

Any insight how accurate the gym workout calorie calculations are? I made a workout out of 5 kettlebell exercises and at 3 sets the app estimate it at a little over 300 calories. Today I did an extra set for each exercise and the app estimate it at 283 calories. 🤷♂️ Math

Yeah, that doesn’t sound right.0

This app? As in using the mfp database for calculating exercise calories? It only gives you more calories for more time on a given exercise. So, even if you did more reps, if you were done faster, it would give you less calories. There is no way for THIS app to calculate calories for reps, only time. How did you log your exercise?0

What kind of data did you put in? Did you use the same database entry? is this number somehow related to using a fitness tracker? If so, it's likely that there's some HR data involved and your heartrate was just lower at the second workout (one of the reasons why HR does not relate to calorie burn)0
