I'm back... again. This is my third time trying to use MFP in the last 9 years. I weighed in at my heaviest on Monday and decided that I need to make some lifestyle changes. I know it's going to be a process. I'm looking for people that will hold me accountable, and that I can hold accountable as well. Encouragement never hurt anyone. Goal is to lose 42 more pounds. I've lost at least 3 since Monday. Thanks all. 💓

Identify why you cant stay on track.
Are you making your diet hard to follow by eliminating what people consider "junk" foods?
Are you following diet rules that have been spoon fed to us that hold no merit? Like not eating after 6pm, carbs make you fat, etc?
Are you choosing a diet that doesnt really mesh well with your life but seen results and figured that's what you had to do? Like low carb or keto?
Are you spending your time trying different methods that really dont do anything at all for weight loss but are forwarded by people making them seem true? Like apple cider vinegar, or detoxes?
Is your diet too aggressive? Maybe your eating too little thinking less is better for faster results?1 -
I don't do fad diets. I'm trying to make healthy eating and daily exercise my lifestyle. I eat at least 1200 calories a day. I try to stay under my allotted calorie count here on MFP, which is a little over 1500. I have started working out today. I've been making healthier food choices since Monday when I started this journey. And I've lost 3 pounds since Monday. It's just hard to stay motivated.

Okay but why make it harder on yourself by taking away 300 calories from what mfp gave you? Are you also not eating your exercise calories back either?
What about the other foods you enjoy? Have you thought about trying to make them part of your diet as well?
Faster is not better
The reasons why is because for one it's hard on your body, especially the less you have to lose
And by rushing to get it done, you're not giving yourself time to learn anything from the experience.
Myfitnesspal isnt just about eating healthy and exercising. They are great additions but it's not everything there is.
The other part of myfitnesspal is learning who you are and finding a way to be you and work it into your new lifestyle.
I'm not a salad eater, I dont eat fruit, but I love a good cheeseburger and fries and I love my sweets, that's who I am, and in order to stay motivated and stay the course, was learning how to eat those foods within the calories mfp gave me (which includes eating back my workout calories)
The journey doesnt stop after loss and life happens, we are social people who celebrate with food, learning how to navigate those foods and seeing those portions through your journey is going to be really helpful once you've hit maintenance.
Restricting your food to 1200 when you could be eating 1500 is unnecessary and you dont need to suffer while you lose, it doesnt have to be a package deal.0 -
I've done this before. Lost weight and got healthy. I'm really just looking for people to motivate me and encourage me. Thanks for the encouragement ladies. 💗0
