Hi there. I'm 49 5.5 and 11st 3 (female) I have a disability which restricts leg movement so I am looking at finding similar people to swap ideas and experience on how to get enough exercise at home. I really need to shift some weight as it is impacting on my disability making things worse. I have taken up the fitness boxing on switch which I can just manage but not sure how effective it will be. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions i would appreciate the support. I have been using this app over the years but never found a decent exercise regime and whatever weight I have lost always goes back on. Would love to be fit. Good luck to everyone and hope you are staying safe in such turbulent times x

Have you worked with a physiotherapist in the past? It would be great if you could have a plan specifically tailored to your body.

My mom is basically in a wheelchair she can only walk from the living room to the bathroom otherwise she uses her wheelchair, she usually does a lot of workouts from YouTube. If I’m not mistaking she puts sitting workouts or elderly workouts as they have to sit majority of the time. She also dances sitting down that helps her.

I’m in the same situation but I am limited in what I can do because of an injury. I was an active person, ate what I wanted but this situation has made me gain weight. And now I’m dealing with depression from the injury and now the weight gain. It’s a never ending battle. But I radically reduced my cal intake ( hoping this app will help) and I’m doing breathing, core excercizes. You can find these on YouTube ( Pilates). I would also google strengthening, para, sci. I feel like these hits are more suitable for a younger group. The “.Sit in a chair” search typically finds elderly type videos. I’m still looking for more ideas I’ll post again if I find something. Hopefully others will post as well. Good luck and take care.

There are under the desk bicycles that can help with leg movement.
