Health is More than Just Your Weight....

Hi All!!
So I just signed up for MFP yesterday and Im excited!! Name's TaLaya and Ive been overweight pretty much since I can remember. Im 26. I had tried losing weight a few times and to no avail, I had come to accept that this was the way it was going to be. I had convinced myself that I needed to accept me the way that i was because nothing was going to change, and so the years kept passing me by. Im a nail techinician and I literally sit in a chair for about 9-12 hours a day, been doing this fulltime for about 4 years now. I usually dont eat until my day is done ( sometimes Ill snack on junk), Ill pig out and then go to sleep and do it all over again the next day. So I was scrolling through my timeline on Twitter (after weeks of God given signs that I need to make some changes in my life health wise) and a woman from my church had posted an article entitled "Health is More than Just Your Weight" ...now I usually NEVER click on links because i dont like to read on my phone (too small) but something told me to click on the link and low and behold the woman that wrote this article was ME ...not literally, but her story was so similar to mines that it was creepy. From being prediabetic to convincing herself that be overweight was ok and acceptable. Soooo that was yesterday and here I am. Im not sure where or how to start but I know that it needs to be now!
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength ....He is the constant in my life and I am depending on Him to see me through this as He does everything else!
Peace & Blessing to you all!

Good luck. Just have to say that hopefully you look more to yourself for strength and not a perceived notion. It is YOU who will get you through this. It is YOU that will make great sacrifices and work your butt off exercising. YOU, and only YOU.0
