Free workouts from home

Hey all, I wanted to share a workout from home link you can do on youtube, because I think the trainer is just great.

(I don't know her, lol, nor she me, this is earnest spreading of something I think could benefit others.)

- Everyday she uploads a new video, which is available in the early morn'.
- It's free.
- She mixes strength training (upper, lower and full body) and cardio conditioning. You just follow along with the new workout every day, so it's kind of "thought out for you". And every Sunday she does a 20 minute stretch.
- Equipment wise, you need the basics: a mat and variety of dumbbells are pretty much a must, IMO. Especially the dumbbells. And she sometimes whips out sliders, resistance bands and a bench, but there's always modifications if you don't have them.
- Ah yes... when it comes to cardio she goes pretty hot and heavy (lots of jumpin'), but there's always a low impact modification she'll show.
- Since the workouts vary each day (which is what made me ditch my other programs and stick withe her: it's fun and dynamic and you don't get bored), I can't say how long they last, because it varies. Usually though, they're 30, 40, 50 or 60 minutes. When they're shorter it means they're super intense, when they're longer, the intensity is more spaced out. A long session will usually be followed by a short one and vice versa.
- Warm ups and cool down are included in the allotted time.
- She's a certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist, according to the more info. thingy on youtube.

Today she started DAY 1 of the new "May Challenge". But anyone can join at any given time, all you have to do is do the video for that day and carry on with the rest.

I'm doing this to help her, I think she deserves it (I've been following for 2 years and it's literally a new workout every day... with the usual good old "tried and true" moves, of course).

And to help inspire any one who feels like working out or changing it up and would like to follow along.

Good day!

Lol. I follow her too. I just saw this May challenge she posted...after I already did my step video. And I went to the park for a run. So...I'm going to see what she posts tomorrow!

Haha, I genuinely love her! It's pretty cool, for me, to start each session not knowing exactly what's coming... but at the same time knowing it'll be the moves we all know, just with different variations, speeds, lengths, focuses, etc. And when I look back at how she structures each week, it makes so much sense, it's clearly all thought out. Most of all, I like that the workouts are doable, but CHALLENGING. Quite challenging, I find. Take care! = )

P.S. This dude also uploads a new video each day. I'm already on the other boat, but I'll leave his link, in case it sparks anyone's interest. I see he started a "May Challenge" thing too.
Pretty much everything I wrote about on my first post applies to him too (as in method, equipment, etc.).

I love Sidney Cummings too, just wish I had higher weights to be able to get more out of strength training. Her low impact/apartment cardio is really good for those of you that can't do high impact. I have favorites of all of hers, the mini-resistant bands to foam rolling to stretching, I like her stretching workouts better than yoga.

Haha great! And tomorrow will be a good old stretch-a-roo for sure.

Not that I'm gonna post every day, at all... but I'll leave Day 2 here, so people can get a sense of how diverse everyday is.

But she DOES think it all out. Usually it goes something like this, in a week: 2 upper bodies, 2 lower bodies, 2 cardio conditioning (mixed up, obviously) and Sunday is a 20 minute stretch. Sometimes one of the strength days will be full body. But yeah. Anyways, that's the fun aspect for me: Structure + Being surprised :0). And she's a peach, a very nice gal.
