So, I will tell you why I'm super, and why I'm better than you.
Normally I do all of my workouts wile towing, or pushing my 15 month old son. Today was the first time in months that I did not bring him along. I disconnected the caddy thing, which I can best describe as pulling a kite, or a parachute with wheels.
So, my normal route starts with a pretty steep hill to go up over a highway. Normally I'm panting at the top. Not today, I didn't even slow down. I usually make a loop then though the park, about 3 miles. Not today, I blew though the park, kept going. Turned around, tried to find a new bike path that is supposed to exist along the river. Total 13 miles.
Now all I can think about is running. I normally do a 5 - 7K run with 5 - 3k walk (total 10k) with a stroller that is also like pushing watermelon in a hammock on wheels. What can I do without that?
Now why I'm better than you? Because normally I do all this with my son. So not really directed here at you people. But now that I am more fit, I look around and wonder how people can live their lives just being sloths and eating garbage. So much better to get out and do something. I just feel like I'm in a different class of people now. Am I an egomaniac? perhaps.

I'm super human too.. I have three kids!! I'd wear a cape, but it's dirty and I don't wanna do laundry!! LOL0

ugh. you make me sick..lol
i bike with my 4yo daughter in tow and its ok except for im dragging 43lbs + whatever the tag along weighs when the princess decides shes too bored pedaling. When my cousin has mercy on my poor miserable soul, she takes over and lets me ride the mountain kid-less bike and all i can say is "i believe i can fly..."
so yes, you my friend are a suppaflipping supahero.0 -
I do curls with my 14 month old. He loves it. Thinks it's playtime. Then I put him on my back and do squats. Kids are great training tools!0

I commend your dedication and commitment to doing all this with the extra added weight of a child!! Nice that you could do it alone to see how far you have come and how much youve accomplished.
Way to Go!!0 -
3 kids here, and 2 argue ALL THE F'ING TIME. Damn teenagers. So, while I may not tug them around during workouts, the fact that they are still alive and not buried in the backyard proves that I have super human abilities.0

You had the stored energy and more than that extra ordinary will power to do things. Try doing it everyday.....First few weeks you will enjoy but after reaching some point you might feel tired! But if you don't then you are really extra ordinary....Go Daddy Go! Its your time to lose some good weight!0

I've got five kids and I towed or pushed (biking or running) whichever one was the toddler for about 12 years. Yesterday I did an Olympic distance triathlon (solo-kids stayed home ) and was first in my age group. I credit all the super human weight training .
Great job and thanks for your post, Its good to remember the kids-in-tow stages (and be even more grateful for having ones who are old enough to babysit now)0 -
*sigh* my HERO.
Well done!0 -
Now we know your secret identity. Isn't that dangerous?0

I have 7 kids. I wake up at 5, have breakfast ready by 5:30, have morning prayer at 6, first wave is at the bus stop by 6:27, second wave is out by 7:00. After working all day I come home, feed all the people who keep needin' to eat, check homework, ensure baths, prep for tomorrow and THEN workout after everyone's in bed by 9, when all I used to do was crash on the bed and watch Netflix until I fell asleep. So I might not be better than everyone else.........but I'm sure as heck better than I was!!0
