Switching from Noom

I’m a 48-year old, happily married mother of 2 awesome kids, living in Chicago. I have had good success with Noom over the last 3 months (down 20lbs!) but I feel like it’s run it’s course for me. I’ve recently begun intermittent fasting (16:8), and LOVE it! I still like tracking my food and exercise as I work toward my goal (15 pounds to go), but I don’t feel like the Noom coaching is adding the value for the cost anymore. I’m trying out My FitnessPal to see how it compares and to test out if I can “go it on my own”. I’m going to miss the comraderie of my Noom group though, so I’m hoping the My FitnessPal community is a supportive group as well. If anyone is in a similar situation and would like to partner up for support, I’d love to be part of a supportive group working toward similar goals. 💗

Looking forward to journeying with you!

you did better than me on noom! I have lost, and gained, the same 2 kilos over the 12 weeks I've been doing it! Had some minor non scale victories (improved fitness and definition in arms etc...but that will be from all the exercise I've been doing!). My plan is to use both until my 16 weeks I paid for with noom are up, then decide whether I continue with noom...I'm on the premium trial on mfp at the moment as well. Well done on your progress so far!

I’m on week 13 with Noom, but I don’t think I’m going to renew this month. I’m really hoping I can keep the momentum here. Scared to lose coaching and my support group though - even though I don’t think they added a whole lot to my success, it felt good knowing they were there and supportive along the way...

Good luck to you in your efforts here! Feel free to reach out for support if you need it.

I started out on Noom in August of last year. Personally I never got past the first few weeks, I didn't really like a coach asking me questions

I'm quite a self-motivated kind of person, but it's nice to add some friends on MFP who like and comment on updates and who you can give support to in return.
And the best bit: it's free

Congrats on your success so far. That success shows you have the knowledge and ability to do what it takes for the last 15 pounds. When in doubt, just reach into your own past success as a guide. You can do it! Best to you!

Congrats on your loss so far! I did a trial run of noom and I don’t know, kind of found it annoying lol my experience from MFP in the past, is you get your little gang going of cheerleaders. Good luck!

When I see the word Noom I think of Zoom. If you build it they will come. Support on MFP. <3
