Samsung health and galaxy watch

Hey,

Just wondering if I could get someone to clarify this for me. I just switched from a Fitbit inspire HR to a galaxy watch.
My question is about the calories burned and activity calories on the Samsung health. Does the calories burned number INCLUDE the active calories or do I have to total them myself? It's just really low compared to my Fitbit.

Thanks

I switched from Fitbit to Samsung recently and also noticed this. After extensive research I have found that even tho the Samsung tracks your heart rate, it doesn't use that to calculate your calories. It uses the standard formula, which is what they also do during your workouts with your watch. (which I think is ridiculous, but whatever). I confirmed this myself by using my Polar heart rate monitor chest strap like I used to do and saw the difference in calories. Now I am back to using my chest strap, which I had gotten away from with my Fitbit....slightly annoyed, although I like my Samsung Active 2 watch for other things. But it is really limited this way and in apps it can connect to and stuff.
