How are you finding other ways to not have food at the center of your life?

I am looking to get into shape physically, mentally, and lose about twenty pounds (then stay there). No fad diets for me, it comes back on to fast afterward. Looking for that lifestyle I had before food became every way to get together, date, control stress, and boredom factor go to in my life. I want freedom from the bondage food can have over me. How are you finding other ways to not have food at the center of your life?

I find other things to do besides eat. I take an online course. I also go for walks and hang out with my 4 year old son. I also count calories. This helps me put things into perspective. I still have small treats but within my calorie count so that I don’t go over. Changes made slowly over time have helped me. So far, I’ve lost 15 pounds. Hope this helps.0

If socializing always involves food, I would recommend changing how you socialize. Walks, hikes, bicycle rides, museums, car shows, painting sessions/classes. These are things I do with my friends and family that aren't boring
Best of luck, I was obsessed with food until I reached my second trimester with my baby back in fall.0
