Need help to lose weight

I've been struggling with weight all my life and tried different things. But it seems nothing works. But I was told by family and friends to try this. please help

    Weight loss is caused by being in a calorie deficit. Use MFP to calculate your calories. Set your activity, and weekly weight loss goal. If you exercise log that seperate, and eat back those calories. Log all the food you eat. For many a food scale is really helpful for more accurate logging. Avoid fad diets and gimmicks.

    The best weight loss is slow and steady.
