I'm back, and happy

Hiya all.
I posted some time in January that my scale was acting up and it looked like I wasn't losing any weight. I kicked out the old (and as it turned out inside very corroded) scale and bought a new one. Which is working fine. Though it might display weight a tiny bit lower. Difficult to say.
My starting weight was around 71.5kg on first of January when I decided to lose weight. And today I'm down 8.1kg at 63.4kg. I have to say though that I likely lost a lot of water weight in the last two days, which is something I observed before. I'll likely regain a bit of weight in the coming week, or the scale won't really budge for a week or two. So considering I set myself a weight loss goal of 1/4kg per week I'm pretty much spot on.
MFP has me on 1320kcal per day but I've just ignored it, set the goal to 1400, and on most days even ate a bit more than that. On the other hand I did not account for a bit of sport that I've been doing unless it was a really long thing (very big dessert or take away day).
Being a number girl of course I do weigh everything - even if I go overboard, which I did a few times as well. So yeah, calorie counting works. Not that I expected anything else tbh.

Well done on the weight loss so far. I'm just jumping back in after over 6 months away where I've put on too much weight because I've not been calorie counting and basically saying *kitten* it and scoffing that bag of fudge covered pretzels or equivalent when I'm tired or stressed which is a lot of the time.
CI<CO. It's a cold, harsh truth.5 -

Thanks a lot. Yes, anything else than Ci<Co won't make sense anyway. It's da science. I hope you get your diet under control as well. Mind you, I have a pile of candy or other yummy things within my calorie budget every day. I just plan for it. A desert for 150-200 calories, which could be a candy bar, a cheese stick, or something else. I currently have a cake in the fridge And then something in the afternoon, either a low fat yogurt/kwark thingy or fruit. Keeps me sane and happy.
I probably have to think of where to stop. Being 169cm, I'm probably close to the middle of a healthy BMI. Tummy is flat. Thighs.. well, that's a different story and one that won't really change. Just had a look at my weight trending app, and I lost with an average of 0.26kg per week. Very much spot on0
